Of course the draws are dove-tailed. But more than that. The secondary woods used in Old World's furniture are higher quality and better finished than most mass produced primary surfaces.

Steel ball baring glides and thick, sturdy fronts are also evidence that you are looking at a piece of furniture, made by someone that cares about what you think of their work.
